Baked Breakfast
6 eggs
1 tsp. dry mustard
8 slices bread, crusts removed
1 tsp. salt (optional)
2 c. milk
1/2 lb. Cheddar cheese, shredded
1/2 lb. slivered ham, pulled apart
Beat eggs, salt, mustard, and milk as for scrambled eggs.
Cut or tear apart slices of bread. Mix in cheese, bread, and meat. Put
in greased 9 x 11 inch casserole dish. Cover and let set in
refrigerator overnight. Bake at 325 degrees for 1 hour. Cut in squares
for serving. This is great for company breakfast. The mess is done the
day before. It serves 8 people.
At holidays it seems we always have a crowd, and a hundred other
things to do. This is a BIG timesaver! Especially since that turkey is
sitting there waiting for you!
